Boccia is a Paralympic sport for athletes with disabilitlies that have a majer impact on motor skills. Boccia is a target ball sport belonging to the same family as petancque and bowls.

The National League is a pan-disability, team competition, split into county/regional groups where top teams progress to a National Final.

All Ability Sports and Leisure, have a team playing in the National League named Harlow Hurricanes Boccia Squad. We now have a team of nine to twelve players all with various physical and additional needs. The team have been practicing for over a year and 2015 is the first year the Harlow Boccia Team have entered the Boccia England National League. Our first match was played on Saturday 21st February between Harlow Hurrincanes and YMCA Romford,.

It was a great match which was played as a double header with Hurricanes losing their first match 5 points to 7 but winning their second match 6 points to 4. Our team will go on to play further matches and our next match is against Bexley Dodgers on Saturday 21st March.
